37° Flare Hydraulic Fittings is very common in fluid power systems

37° Flare Fittings is very common in fluid power systems. Both the male and female halves of the connections have 37° seats. The seal takes place by establishing a line contact between the male flare and the female cone seat. The threads hold the connection mechanically. CAUTION: in the -02, -03, -04, -05, -08, and -10 sizes, the threads of the SAE 45° flare and the SAE 37° flare are the same. However, the sealing surface angles are not the same.
flare tube fittings Applications:
For use with machine tools, agricultural and earth moving machinery, instrumentation, chemical processing systems, and most other high pressure hydraulic applications.
Pressure Ratings:
Working pressures up to 5000 PSI. Working pressures will vary depending on tube and fitting size. (For applications using extreme pressures at 5000 PSI or above, contact World Wide Fittings.)

Flare pipe fittings design

The flared tube fitting sleeve insures tube alignment with the fitting body axis and minimizes mechanical strain on the tube.
Flare pipe fittings design allows for repeated disassembly and re-assembly with no need to replace any components. A wide range of configurations are available such as straight connectors, elbows, union, tees, and crosses as well as unique special adapters. Standard flare fitting materials include brass, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
Defined by MIL-F-18866 and SAE J514 standards, these flare fittings have been machined to have a 37° flare seating surface. These fittings are most commonly used in fluid power and fuel delivery applications, especially those using high pressure. These JIC fittings are identical, in a dimensional design, to Aeronautical-Navy fittings, but they have been manufactured to be cost effective and to tolerances that are not as high or specific.
In the fluid power industry, these fittings are used in a test-point and diagnostic setting. There are instances with a three-way coupling can offer a port inline of circuit that allows the user to connect diagnostic equipment or measuring device so pressure readings and system diagnostics can be performed.

High pressure hydraulic tube and pipe fittings

High pressure hydraulic tube and threaded pipe fittings made from Type 316 Stainless Steel for maximum corrosion resistance. Stainless steel is recommended for marine applications, chemical processing and other harsh operating conditions.
Stainless Steel high pressure pipe fittings specifications:
Precision Pipe Fittings machined from bar stock or from forgings.
Working pressures conform to power piping code ANSI B31.1 & refiner code ANSI B31.3.
All fittings are rated for 4500PSI or greater.
All exposed threads protected with plastic caps.
Material is 316SS.

Parher's 37° Flare JIC tube fittings and adapters

Parher's 37° Flare JIC Tube fittings and adapters, meet the requirements of both SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 and offer the industry's broadest offering of port ends. The design has a small metal to metal seal area which results in a compact design, low assembly torque, high temperature and high pressure capability.
Features/Benefits:
• Easily adaptable to inch tube, metric tube fittings and hose giving it worldwide acceptance.
• Vast selection of port end options, including SAE Straight threaded pipe fittings, NPTF, BSPP-ED, BSPP-O-ring Retaining Ring (ORR), BSPP, BSPT, ISO 6149, Metric-O-ring Retaining Ring (ORR), and Metric-ED
• Parher's adjustable ports is manufactured with a longer locknut virtually eliminating washer damage and potential leaks, as well as making assembly mistake-proof.
• Steel fittings substantially exceeded the SAE corrosion requirements of 72 hours without red rust, lasting up to 1,000 as found by an independent test facility.
• Stainless Steel nuts have a coating to prevent galling.
• Available in steel, stainless steel, and brass in sizes 1/8” - 2 ½” with working pressures up to 7500 psi.

FD-LOK 37° flared tube fittings are the most widely used fittings

FD-LOK 37° flared tube fittings are the most widely used fittings in the world.
JIC flared fittings, as defined by the SAE J514, standards are a type of fitting machined with a 37° flare seating surface. 37° flared JIC tube fittings are the most widely used fittings in the world. JIC fitting’s appeal is its adaptability, compact design, ease of assembly, reliability and availability.
Although most JIC fittings are commonly viewed as 3,000 PSI connectors, Parher JIC flared fittings are rated at 9,000 PSI for 1/4" size to 2000 PSI for 2” size. Parher JIC 37° flare fittings are manufactured in steel, 316 stainless steel or brass, and are readily available through Hose & Fittings, Etc.
The SAE 37° flared tube fitting system consists of three components to make a tubing assembly: body, nut, and sleeve.
The SAE flared Tube fittings relies on metal-to-metal contact between the finished surface of the fitting nose and the inside diameter of the flared tubing to make a seal. SSP takes great care in the manufacturing process to produce a flared nose surface that far exceeds published specifications. This high finish reduces the likelihood of leakage due to irregularities in the flared tubing.
As the fitting nose and flared tubing are drawn together, they are supported by the fitting sleeve, which distributes the compressing load caused by the nut as it is threaded onto the fitting body during assembly.
SAE flared tube fittings are available for inch and metric tubing. Metric assemblies are constructed with standard inch bodies, and special nuts and sleeves designed for metric tubing.
